What is data, and why should you care? Data can be frustrating and tedious. Data has also not always been used in positive ways, especially for those of us from marginalized communities. The good news: data can be more than this! Data can help you bring together the voices and experiences of communities to celebrate your successes, demonstrate your impacts, elevate stories and advocate for social change. In this webinar we will discuss how to look at the service data you are collecting in a new way to find opportunities to better understand and share the stories of the work you are doing.

June 13: Center Community in Your Data

You probably went into this work to support community. The evolving needs of the people you serve is central to why you do the work–are they the center of your data? What information you ask your clients to share, how you ask, how you make decisions and advocate using your data–community should be the center of all of this. In this session, we provide best practices for being community-centered in your data collection practices, from intake to sharing stories back to the communities from which they came.

June 27: Do More With Your Data

Data can be a game changer for you and the clients with whom you work. It helps you find patterns across groups, track changes over time, stay responsive, and show you how you your services are making differences In this session share ideas for how you can use your data to demonstrate your impacts, celebrate your successes, elevate voices that have been marginalized, advocate for the people you serve, and innovate to support evolving needs.

June 29: Drop In Support Hours

Have some questions about your data? Come on by! We can discuss any questions you have about data–how to understand it, how to collect it, how to analyze it, how to make data-driven decisions, etc. Just let us know you are coming, and what you want to talk about. We will be ready to answer your questions and provide advice specific to your unique needs. Depending on the number of participants that week, conversations could be individual or group.
