Meet Our Colorado Team

I have dedicated my life and career to spanning boundaries across issues, geography, and sectors. My portfolio includes business development and revitalization projects, securing funding for capital improvements and programmatic needs, strengthening state and local government partnerships, and leading organizational change management efforts. I thrive in complexity, seeking the opportunity to apply critical thinking skills and diverse perspectives to address long-standing challenges.

I’m an active member of the international Collective Impact community of practitioners and trainers, Leadership Fort Collins alumna, and serves on many local nonprofit boards and committees. I’ve earned bachelors’ degrees in International Studies and Sociology from the University of Wyoming and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University.

I have a passion for working with underserved communities using strength-based and community-based participatory research approaches. I have a PhD in sociology which included advanced training in qualitative and quantitative research methods and analyses. I have over 14 years of research experience, with expertise in the areas of disability, health, families, and racial and ethnic minorities. I have worked with a variety of non-profit organizations, universities, health clinics, county and state governments, University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs), and Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) programs throughout the West. I love collaborating with others and making programs and services more accessible and usable for diverse populations.

After living throughout the Western United States, I have settled in Colorado with my husband and our two dogs. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, exploring, cooking, art, and traveling.

I have over a decade of nonprofit and volunteer experience. Some of my highlights include helping corporations develop, track, and evaluate their employee volunteer programs; working on a global project on high performing board and CEO partnerships; launching Colorado Reading Corps in two school districts; and securing several federal grants.

I’m a Leadership Loveland Alumni, 40 Under 40 award recipient, United Way Worldwide Fellow, and a self-proclaimed life-long learner. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Colorado State University and a M.S. in Counseling from University of Phoenix. I seek out challenges and opportunities to grow, and believe everyone has a story to tell, if someone is willing to listen.
